When you use FreshCart, we collect the following information:

• Full Name — to identify your order
• Phone Number — to contact you about your delivery
• Delivery Address — to deliver your groceries
• Postal Code — to verify delivery zone eligibility
• Payment Information — processed securely by Stripe (we never store your card details)
• Device Push Token — to send you order status notifications
• Order History — to manage and track your orders

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

• Process and fulfill your grocery delivery orders
• Contact you regarding your delivery status
• Send push notifications about your order updates
• Improve our service and customer experience

3. Payment Processing

All card payments are processed securely by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. FreshCart does not store, view, or have access to your full card number, CVV, or banking information. For more information, visit stripe.com/privacy.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except:

• Stripe — for payment processing
• Expo — for push notification delivery
• When required by law or legal process

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on encrypted servers hosted by Supabase (PostgreSQL). We use industry-standard security practices including JWT authentication and HTTPS encryption for all data transmission.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and data at any time by contacting us.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Opt out of push notifications at any time in your device settings

8. Children's Privacy

FreshCart is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes through the app or via email.

1. About FreshCart

FreshCart is a grocery delivery service operating in Toronto and Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. We shop for groceries on your behalf from local stores including Walmart, No Frills, Metro, LCBO, Dollarama, Costco, FreshCo, and Food Basics.

2. Eligibility

To use FreshCart you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have a valid phone number
• Be located within our delivery zones (Toronto or Oshawa)

3. Delivery Zones

We currently deliver to:

• Toronto — All postal codes beginning with M
• Oshawa — Postal codes L1G, L1H, L1J, L1K, L1L

Orders placed outside these zones will not be accepted. We reserve the right to expand or modify delivery zones at any time.

4. Pricing & Fees

• Product prices are approximate and based on typical store prices
• Final prices may vary slightly depending on in-store availability and pricing
• You will be informed of any significant price differences before delivery
• A delivery fee of $5.00 applies to orders under $50.00
• Orders of $50.00 or more qualify for free delivery

5. Payment

We accept the following payment methods:

• Card / Apple Pay — charged at time of order via Stripe
• Interac E-Transfer — must be sent before order is dispatched
• Cash — paid to the delivery person upon arrival

For card payments, your card is charged immediately when you place your order. For E-Transfer, your order will only be confirmed once payment is received.

6. Order Cancellations & Refunds

• Orders may be cancelled within 5 minutes of placement by contacting us
• Once shopping has begun, cancellations may not be possible
• Refunds for card payments will be processed within 5-10 business days
• Refunds are issued if items are unavailable and no suitable substitute is found

7. Substitutions

If a requested item is unavailable, we may substitute it with a similar product of equal or greater value. You will be notified of any substitutions before delivery is completed.

8. Delivery Times

Estimated delivery times are:

• ASAP — 30 to 45 minutes
• 1 Hour — approximately 1 hour
• 2 Hours — approximately 2 hours

Delivery times are estimates only and may vary due to traffic, store availability, or high demand.

9. Alcohol & Age-Restricted Items

For orders including alcohol from LCBO or other stores, you must be 19 years of age or older. Valid government-issued ID will be required upon delivery. We reserve the right to refuse delivery of alcohol if ID cannot be provided.

10. Limitation of Liability

FreshCart is not responsible for:

• Delays caused by store availability or traffic conditions
• Minor price differences between app prices and in-store prices
• Items that are out of stock at the time of shopping
• Any allergic reactions — please check product labels carefully

11. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Provide false delivery information
• Abuse or harass FreshCart staff or shoppers
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

12. Changes to Terms

FreshCart reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.
